Re: What happened to 2d

When Jon posts, I've seen a trend of him ignoring responses from people. It's the reason why so many modern 2d games have been listed here and his response is "yeah, there's just no more 2d games," as though he didn't read the suggestions given or didn't bother looking the games up. This i...

Re: Sega 3D Classics Collection (3DS)

I have the game and the ports are really impressive. I don't have a modded or Japanese PS2, so this is the only way I can play Phantasy Zone II Dx/W. Really happy to have a physical copy of that game. But, like Dave, I find the omissions to be truly heartbreaking. Three games that absolutely should ...

Re: Your most valuable games

I have a handful of retro games that hover around that $80 - 100 range: Valkyrie Profile (PS1), Yakuza 2 (PS2), Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (GCN), Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (Wii), Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii), Metroid Prime Trilogy (Wii), Lunar 1 & 2 (PS1), Megaman Legends (PS1), Final Fantasy V...

Re: New PS4 games at Target

Critic, you should ABSOLUTELY play Tearaway Unfolded on PS4. It's a pretty excellent remake of the Vita title replacing the Vita's unique capabilities with those of the dual shock 4 (gyroscope, touchpad, light bar, camera if you have one). What's more is the framerate is doubled to 60 fps and the re...

Re: Favorite Baseball Games

Well, this may mark one of the first times Jon and I have agreed on something. Because I think Baseball Stars 2 (Neo Geo) might be my favorite Baseball game of all time. Fantastic graphics and animations, great use of color, fun sound design, solid arcade mechanics... fantastic game. Also, I really ...

@Scotland - oh man. I don't think the Critic likes these types of threads. Are you trying to get me banned?!?! Ha ha

Re: Sega - 15 years later

A joint Sega/Nintendo console??? While technically that would still probably be considered a second tier console, it would still be a must buy. Instead of the attitude of "I'll buy a PlayStation or XBox... and maybe a Wii U," it would turn into, "I will get a PlayStation or XBox event...

Re: Greatest RPG Soundtrack of All Time

Well, my two votes have already been mentioned: Chrono Trigger and NieR. Chrono Trigger will likely remain my favorite soundtrack of all time. Some of its is nostalgia, but I've never met anyone who played the game and didn't rave over the soundtrack. Even new fans today enjoy the music. Pretty impr...

Re: Sega - 15 years later

First off, Jon, you're ridiculous. You complain about someone talking about the SNES in this thread and yet no one has talked about it more than you. You've used the same erroneous talking points on the system for the last few years. Years, Jon. We know how you feel, it's time to move on. In that sp...
