SilveryFire wrote: Don't people ever get tired of spouting this garbage? The Snes was not technically superior to the Genesis. It had more colors and a bigger color palette. That's it. True; the SNES massacred the Genesis by having about 8 times as many colors and 5 times as many simultaneous color...

Re: Sega - 15 years later

A couple of thoughts on some of the points made here. The notion that Sega could have made more money had they held onto the Genesis for a couple years longer is a little flawed, in my opinion. Sega had a habit of releasing some of their consoles at an interim. It was technically superior to the NES...

Re: Earth Defense Force 2017 (360)

JLH! JLH! JLH! Interesting timing, as I just got EDF 4.1 in the mail last week and I downloaded the update during the short time I was home from work during lunch today. If I don't get too wrapped up watching NBA basketball, I should start the game tonight. I'll post my thoughts here to let you know...

Re: GPD XD= Best Portable Emulation Machine

Wow, what timing! I just bought one of these last weekend from Craigslist. The seller had only had it for a month, enjoyed it, but needed to sell a bunch of his games/systems because of financial hardship. Felt bad for the dude, but got the GPD XD for $100. Problem is, I don't really know what to do...

Re: Sega 3D Classics Collection

It seems... Ok to me. I will buy it simply because I don't have a physical version of Puyo Puyo 2 or Fantasy Zone II W. I'll get it for that, but it's obvious that this could be a lot better. @SilveryFire - I don't think anyone is getting off "Scott free" here. This forum has been very voc...

Re: What games have you found disturbing?

Corpse Party for PSN (digital PSP/Vita) is quite disturbing. The graphics are very 16-bit and childish, but the environment, anime stills and story can be very shocking. Luckily, it's done in a way that's still palatable. It's a great adventure game to boot.

Re: Best Mario Kart Game?

I'll try to rely on my memory here and be somewhat concise. Super Mario Kart - A classic in every sense of the word. Being the first of its kind, it had no business being as good as it is. That said, it's less hectic and far more pedestrian than its successors. Mario Kart 64 - At the time, my favori...

Re: Rodea: The Sky Soldier

I was able to get this new on Amazon for $30. It wasn't an official price drop; just happened to pick it up at the right time. I haven't played it yet but happy to have it because we all know it's going to have a tiny print run. My advice is keep every Wii U game you have and actively seek the ones ...

Re: Now Is The Time to Buy PS3 and 360 Games

I'll echo Rev on why I prefer the PS3. Prefer isn't a strong enough word. I VASTLY prefer the PS3 to the 360. But that's a topic for a different thread. I agree with pt. It's now two years into the 8th gen and that's the PERFECT time for collectors to complete their 7th gen collections. It's true th...
