Re: New Sega Genesis beat 'em up: Paprium

I just found this in the FAQ at the bottom of the page: 5. Does the box look like a original MegaDrive/Genesis box? Yes it does, it's the exact same style and size. The LIMITED EDITION is made of artboard instead of plastic while the CLASSIC EDITION is made of plastic!!! What exactly is artboard? I ...

New Sega Genesis beat 'em up: Paprium

So, I stumbled across this today and figured that there would be some here who would be interested: http://paprium.com/ The name is kind of dumb, but the game looks pretty great, sort of like Streets of Rage on steroids. The price is kind of steep though, with the regular version priced at $69 and a...

Re: NES games I need to review?

Since the VGC just reviewed Twin Cobra for the Genesis, maybe he should try out the NES version. One of the better vertical-scrolling shooters for the system, IMO.

Re: Disaster: Day of Crisis

I'm jealous. I remember being really disappointed when finding out that this game wasn't coming to the U.S. It really looks like the type of game I would like a lot.

Re: Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch)

Well, it has already gone from Best Game Ever to being compared to Alex Kidd in High Tech World. So, I'm guessing by the end it will probably be rated alongside games like Bubsy 2 and Plumbers Don't Wear Ties :P I can definitely say that it's better than Action 52. Ha! Maybe they should put that on...

Re: Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch)

Can I just say, I love this. I love how everybody (not just you, literally everybody on the internet) started this game and had absolutely nothing bad to say about it. But as you keep playing, you start saying, "You, I don't really like this. This is pretty annoying too. Oh, and this is downri...

Re: Great pinball video games

Pinball FX2 (lots of platforms) - I first started picking up tables for this game on the Xbox 360, then they started releasing them for the Xbox One and made them cross-buy. Lots of good tables of various themes and IPs, although I don't know if it was ever released on physical media, not sure if t...

Re: Physical Release Thread

Axiom Verge, last year's acclaimed third party 2D Metroid clone, is getting a retail release. Nice. Glad I waited on this one. I made the mistake of not waiting on Shovel Knight and NES Remix, figuring that neither would ever be sold on a disc. But with more and more of these smaller games getting ...

You mean a really great video game console with a bunch of fun pick-up-and-play style games?

Yup, that sounds about right.

Re: Battle Kid 2 (NES fan game)

I have both Battle Kid games and enjoy them both quite a bit. They're hard as heck, but each one has that "just one more time" quality. Honestly, I think these look to be about the only two homebrew NES games that seem to be worth owning. Unlike Atari 2600 and 7800 homebrews, which are as ...
