Re: Skylanders Giants (Dad review)

On the positive side for "Superchargers Racing," it is a completely different game than "Skylanders Superchargers" which is the version that appeared on all the other consoles. The developers said "Superchargers" wouldn't have been able to fit on Wii, so they built an ...

Re: Andoird game system console?

I actually just sent my Colecovision Flashback to an Atari Age member who performs a service where he upgrades it by replacing the insides with a Raspberry Pi. When you get the system back, it has all the games that were originally on the Flashback, and of course you can add your own roms and other ...

Lightening Force (Sega Genesis) : Notice that the name is not LIGHTNING Force - as in the bolts of electricity that shoot through the sky - but rather LIGHTEN-ing Force - as in "make or become lighter in weight, pressure, or severity," or "make or become more cheerful or less serious...

Re: Kaboom (Atari 2600)

I'm glad it's possible to play Warlords on the PS4 (via Atari Classic compilation) but I suspect the thumbstick controls might leave something to be desired. I kind of doubt I will even own 4 PS4 controllers, but friends could bring theirs over. You can play Warlords with the touch pad on the PS4 c...

Re: Christmas Loot

Anyone have a good idea where the hell to find a Wii U for a decent price? I've been checking all of the WalMarts, Targets, Best Buys, and Gamestops in my area. Nobody has any in stock. I literally saw them EVERYWHERE last week. Now they are impossible to find. Any ideas where I should be checking?...

Re: Christmas Loot

I too got the Art of Atari book, along with a couple of homebrew games from Atari Age: Frenzy (7800) and Stella's Stocking (2600).

Also got three PS4 games: Geometry Wars 3, Trackmania Turbo, and Driveclub.

Critic,
Did you realize that you can use the PS4 controller's touchpad in games that use trak-ball and spinner/paddle controls? It might be the best use of the touchpad I've seen yet!

Re: Everything old is new again

The one old form of media I use very often that is out of style are VHS tapes. Frankly, these are way better than dvd's in my opinion. Just pop it in and play. It's kind of like a retro game where you don't have to sit through menus. Funny thing is, when DVD's first came out, they actually had a bi...
