Is the new 'retro' look 32/64 bit Early Polygon and not 16 bit Sprite

It does look awfully ugly and PS1 like for sure. There might be something to trying to market to parents who grew up with this stuff. But another thing to remember. Not every system from the 5th gen had "crude" looking polygons. The polygons in Jaguar games looked amazing. It's just that for some in...

Most Arrogant-Sounding Game Titles

I'll concur with Super Mario 3d World and New Super Mario Bros. U. Nintendo has a sort of screw it we don't give a **** attitude with those titles.

No love for the 32/64 bit generation?

I haven't had access to PS1 games since my last PS2 broke down. I'm sure at some point I'll get another one, just because I'll get the itch to play the Twisted Metal games again and something like ESPN Extreme Games. But right now I'm not missing it at all. In fact, I sort of feel like a rogue, taki...

No love for the 32/64 bit generation?

I don't think so. I think the 3d graphics in Hover Strike CD is possibly as good as anything the 3do did. And even in the PS1's heyday, the graphics still looked like crap.

No love for the 32/64 bit generation?

I don't view the PS1 as an essential system to have. It amazes me how people act like you absolutely need one because it's an invaluable piece of video game history or something. I'll take a system with at least a few great games that haven't aged like crap instead.

No love for the 32/64 bit generation?

I know what people mean with clunky, but it never bothered me either. Also, I was never bothered by games with low frame rates either. I always hear about how much it sucks, but I have a thing for early polygon games before things got too complicated. I've never played a game where I was like, ...

No love for the 32/64 bit generation?

When people say games looked ugly from that generation, they're overgeneralizing in my opinion. The PS1 was ugly as sin, but I think people are lumping in some of the other systems with it. The 3do had somewhat nice looking 3d graphics that I don't think have aged too bad, at least they're not hard ...

No love for the 32/64 bit generation?

I love that generation too, although there were aspects of it I don't. At the dawn of the generation, 1993-1995, the video game industry, in my opinion, was as healthy as it has been in my time playing video games. There were so many consoles and 3d was new and exciting. It seemed like a really fair...

Best Basketball Games

I used to like the NBA Live series too. When the 95 version came out the graphics and realism were incredible for the time. The last one I played, 97, was fun for a while but then it got too easy. The funny thing with basketball games is that every game I've ever played against a...

Best Basketball Games

Yea NCAA Basketball for SNES is kind of cool. I keep thinking maybe there were some great NBA games that I sort of overlooked due to my pessimism with modern gaming; I haven't checked one out since the late 90s. But maybe I was right. They're just too modern and too many stupid options.
