New 7800 platformer in the works

Postby Atarifever1 » May 11th, 2012, 9:28 pm

From Bob "PacManPlus" on Atariage.  Anyone into ROMs can download two demo levels at the Atariage 7800 forum under the "7800 Wonderboy" topic.  It plays very well.  As you can see from the video below, it is actually a Bentley Bear platformer.  Check it out here:

For one moment, I was excited, and then reality set in. Level design is straight forward - there's no sense of wonder or imagination. Right now, it resembles a bad pirate hack of Adventure Island.

The levels that are there now are only for testing. I do plan on changing them before releasing anything. But, keep in mind that the parallax scrolling limits me on how high I can put the ground. I'll do my best to make it a good game

Thanks!
Bob

Given your track record, I'd Kickstarter this if I could.

I have almost all of Bob's Homebrews and have yet to be disappointed, or indeed, to be less than blown away.

If y'all haven't checked this game out in a while, you owe it to
yourself to take a look! It's really coming along nicely!
