"New" Sega Genesis on craigslist

Postby ptdebate1 » August 8th, 2014, 3:44 pm

A guy is selling a new-in-box Sega Genesis on craigslist for the grand sum of...$75

Should I buy it? If so, what should I do with it?

It's the Model 1 that was bundled with Sonic the Hedgehog.

My concern is that I'll be so tempted to open it that I'll diminish the collector value [frown]

I think you could get a lower price with an unopened Genesis, at least 50$ but still not a bad deal at all don't get me wrong...

It seems pretty cheap to me, but I'm gonna wait until next week since it's in a different town and I have to drive about an hour to meet him. @videogamecritic I do have a Genesis, but something about unboxing a brand new one is very, very tempting to me.

Yeah, if you have a game room this would be a nice piece to display on the shelf (assuming the box is in good condition).

I'd buy that in a heartbeat.  Ask him if he will accept paypal and let you pay for shipping. I ship stuff all the time that I sell on craigslist.
