I miss the old days when every arcade game came with one hot bouncy chick (apparently).

And a few more photos of Time-Out. This was a chain of mall arcades, so there are lots of photos of various locations out there. I think for a time the chain was owned by Sega. One the last photo, those pieces of paper clipped to the top of Stargate are likely high scores, by whom, and when records.

We should get a few of us to grow an early 80s haircut, dress like it was back then, and take a hoax photo next to a Polybius machine. With a Polaroid, of course.

Pics of instruction panels off a few arcade games test marketed by RCA. Same tech was eventually used in the Studio II and III.

Actual pics of RCA's arcade games:
Swords: http://atariage.com/forums/uploads/mont ... 519803.jpg
Swords and Mines. Also a driving game (probably not RCA's): http://atariage.com/forums/uploads/mont ... 519782.jpg
Mysterious unnamed cabinet: http://atariage.com/forums/uploads/mont ... 519878.jpg
"Fredtronic" comes from the computer's name; the computer these units were based on was called FRED.
I'd imagine these were scrapped once the tests were over to avoid revealing trade secrets. No evidence for or against that; just my opinion.

My old basement arcade collection, circa 1999 (Circus, Anti-Aircraft, Breakout, Tank, Monaco GP):
Here are a couple of pictures of the labs at General Computing, the company that created Ms. Pacman/Crazy Otto. The first is the Food Fight development hardware:
This is the Nightmare development hardware, a game that was never released:
Much more of GCC is available at http://galleryszy.stevenanne.net/archives/gcc/

I miss the old arcades too. As a teen I spent more time at Stroh's, Tilt, Butterfly's, and C.J. Barrymores then I did at home.
