Retron 3 having a problem.

Postby matmico399 » November 19th, 2016, 8:46 pm

Okay this is a strange one. A lot of my classic systems are stored away. I have a Retron 3 which I do most of my Nes, Snes and Genesis gaming on. On it the Nes and Genesis cartridge slots they work fine. But on the Snes cartridge slot the red light does not come on and I can't play SNES cartridges. Any idea out there? Thanks!

Since the other parts are working but the SNES LED is off, maybe its just the SNES circuit is open. I would look at the silver plastic rotary console selection dial, and see if it might not be completing the SNES circuit. Is it still making a good sound and moving firmly into three discrete locations? Does it feel different than it used to?

I think its just 6 philips heads to open it up, and have a look inside at the switch.

If its not the switch, once its open take some photos. There is a sub for console repair on reddit that might help.
