Atari 2600 setup help

Postby matmico399 » April 22nd, 2017, 5:24 pm

Okay I e had a 2600 for years. I used to be able to play it on my flat screen tv, although it was fuzzy. Now I get nothing. And it does still work because when I turn the power on the buzz is different. So after years of playing a 2600, is there a way I can get a clear audio/video on my flat screen? What parts do I need? Thanks!

I dont think there is much you can do when using it through an analog connection. It was never meant to not be fuzzy using that. You can try emulating the games through your computer and hooking that up to your TV.

There are devices that will upgrade video to HD, but they run several hundred dollars so its probably not worth it to you. You may also look in to getting your 2600 moded to have AV out. That would probably help a bit and be cheaper that the other option.

Could it be your flat screen tv? Can you hook up another RF out capable device to check, like your Genesis.
