MAME

Postby Sut » May 3rd, 2017, 1:32 pm

I've not used MAME in along time, but recently fancied some arcade action.

My PC is getting on a bit but really seems to be struggling to run some titles I would expect it to such as Scramble Spirits and Outrunners.

Has MAME's system requirements increased ? If so what's the best MAME version for older PC's.
Any tips on getting best performance from MAME ? I know I've got no chance with fully 3D stuff but my PC should be powerful enough for the 2D stuff like Scramble Spirits.

What do you mean by "older"? It might help to know your PC's specs before making any recommendations. I use MAMEUI64.
