Scotland mentioned rail shooters/light gun games and he's very right. There are a couple on PSVR-- my friend has one and playing the Until Dawn spinoff is actually pretty amazing-- but other than that, there's not much.

I actually bought a move & nav controller for PS3 *last year* (well after the platform's death) just to play some light gun games like House of the Dead 3 and 4, Dead Space Extraction, Resident Evil shooters ported from the Wii, etc. Speaking of the Wii, there's lots of old ones there, too, that I play from time to time. Good stuff. Itches a very specific type of gaming craving.

How about single screen platformers? Or anything 2.5D.

Non-licensed sports games, such as Bases Loaded or Blades of Steel. Surely someone can throw together a downloadable indie game with visuals and gameplay similar to 8 and 16-bit sports games with a fresh coat of paint without having to spend an arm and a leg licensing leagues/players (though it is all exclusive now anyway).
