That's a good point too.. I had forgotten about that. In the 90s, it was almost unprecedented for developers to spend a bunch of money on licensing a lineup of real music for in-game use. To my recollection, there were only a few games starting to do it by the late 90s (Crazy Taxi comes to mind), but the Tony Hawk series had the best licensed soundtracks in that time period IMO.
