Re: Trivia: Sega Master System
I was just playing this the other night with my friend Eric when I saw the Monroe images plastered to the side of a building. Any idea why they were there? Seems like a strange design choice.

Fun Fact, later version of Shinobi remove this because of licensing issues: http://shinobisega.wikia.com/wiki/Shinobi_(1987)#Wii_and_Xbox_360, but it does not affect the Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection version for some strange reason?

Re: Trivia: Sega Master System
Did you know there were I believe four versions of the Master System released in the US?
Version 1: Model 1 with BIOS copyright date 1986
Upon startup with no game inserted, you are taken to an instruction screen for inserting a cartridge. Pressing up and both buttons on the controller brings you to the secret maze game. This version included either a Hang-on / Safari Hunt or Hang-on / Astro Warrior cartridge as a pack-in game (depending on whether you got the version with the light gun or not)
Version 2: Model 1 with BIOS copyright date 1988
This version upon startup with no game inserted launches the built-in Hang-on / Safari Hunt game. It did not include a pack-in game. The secret maze game was not included.
Version 3: Model 2 initial release
This version included Alex Kidd in Miracle World as a built-in game.
Version 4: Model 2 later release
This version included Sonic the Hedgehog as a built-in game.

That Marilyn Monroe trivia is really interesting. It's the obscure, quirky elements of classic games that make them so fascinating.
