Interesting article on Hudson's/NEC's little console. Haven't read all of it yet.

That was awesome! I had no idea the amount of problems they had or how TTI formed. Great read.

I'll check this article out later. I've always wanted a Turbo Duo. There are so many awesome looking games for it, especially shmups and platformers.

That really is a fascinating read. I think it hit the nail on the head regarding their marketing. My wife who I would classify as a casual gamer had never heard of the TG16 until just recently.

I remember the Sears catalog for Christmas had both the TurboGrafx-16 and Sega Genesis on separate pages. One page had Sega's Altered Beast and the next page had some gimpy looking guy for its pack-in game. Clearly, the Genesis was the way better system to drool over.

That never happened as I went with a SNES when it launched but between the two prior systems it certainly was an easy contest if one had the money. It wasn't until the Duo came out and its Gates of Thunder game that I started drooling over that system. It wasn't until years later that I was able to get one. Good times.
