The number of new retro systems coming out is out of control. Check out this latest, which requires a different "module" for each system. Seems like a cash cow. I wish I'd thought of it!

With rare exceptions, every boom must be followed by a bust. I expect some, even most, of these systems to last but a short while, if they make it to market at all.

This one is just absurd. They did an interview before the price was announced where they said it will cost significantly less than the Switch. Apparently significantly less to them means $250. Seems pretty insignificant to me but what do I know, I’m just a consumer.

Expectations aside, $250 for the base is insane. You can go buy all the retro consoles the base will include plus a tube tv to play them on for less than that price.

The name sounds too much like one of those illegal Famicom clones. System itself looks slick, but those modules are kinda big; they could probably make each module it's own system, without the base to complicate things.

I have to admit, I actually really like the concept. I think it is a great idea. I don’t have a lot of room for systems so being able to have something that is always plugged in and just swapping out a module is pretty cool to me. I would pay significantly less than they want though. I already have a retro 5 and I don’t see this being that superior of an option.

This thing looks sexy as hell. I think I would buy this.

This looks prettysweet tbh. The price is not over the top for the kind of hardware they’ve included. This isn’t a Raspberry Pi but a modern x86-64.

And it plays Saturn games. Right out of the box. That’s pretty darn impressive. I had enough trouble just getting those emulators configured, let alone getting decent performance. I doubt this is going to take off but I’m pretty excited so far.

From the specs, should they choose to, they shouldn’t have too much trouble adding N64, GameCube and Dreamcast support.
