Agreed on the mind-blowing part. Amazing they can get graphics and all those objects on a 1979-made INTV.

Well, that ends any debate about whether Donkey Kong was the best they could do. :lol:

The Intellivision was designed as a next generation 2600 killer. And it's always underestimated.

The world's first 16-bit console can match the Famicom in sprites per scanline.

The biggest handicaps it faced were Mattel's unwillingness to spend very much on ROM size, and how much it cost at launch.

Remember that this was made with modern programming techniques; the DK game was not.

That said, original INTV DK COULD have been better, though whether Coleco wanted to wait that long is another issue...
