Not a bad idea, especially since I don't have a VCS. Though, really, for nostalgia reasons, I'd want a heavy sixer, also.

Cost me $30 to buy at a flea market here in Newfoundland.  Cost me $70 (shipping and exchange considered) to order a new one online a few weeks ago.

Atari 7800 is worth owning, if only for the insanely fun Food Fight! Still one of my all-time favorite games! Sadly, if I recall, it's the only system you can get the game for which sucks!

As for the Jaguar, I remember exactly why that system tanked! People wanted Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter II, and pretty much all of the big-name franchises that were popular at the time! The system came out my 7th grade year(if I recall) and NOBODY spoke kindly of it! Apart from Tempest 2000, Cannon Fodder, and Alien Vs. Predator(which, like all early-era fps, has become severely outdated), there aren't many games that I'd be interested in returning to. It's sort of the same thing with the 7800, but that system actually did have games just not the games that the masses who bought into the Nintendo craze of the 80's were interested in. One thing that I can say, as an nes fan, is that being so in the late 80's was alot of fun! Every kid had one, you had Nintendo Power which we used to bring in and read during recess sometimes, and we'd have game tourneys every weekend. Atari 7800, while alot of fun, was a really isolated experience because nobody I knew cared to even play it when I got one for my 7th birthday!
