OK, so I tried Shinobi, and got outbid. The only copy affordable enough. So I got Gex. I hear that's good. Am I right?

Ew.

Sorry, but I don't like that one much. Gex's voice is a bit gratuitous and the gameplay didn't hold my attention.

Well I got it because the Critic gave it a good grade on the 3DO, and both versions look similar.

Sega Ages should be mandatory for every Saturn owner. Has the best home version of Outrun, at 60fps. The recent versions of Outrun in such titles as Outrun 2 were 30fps and had some minor issues, but not so with the Saturn version. Even supports the Nights 3d pad.

I remember liking:

Bug (humourous, semi-3-D platformer)
Battlestations (basically a fighting game with naval ships)
Ghen War (mech/FPS)
Alien Triology (probably better on PS1, I'm not sure)

It's been a long time and I'm not sure what kind of reviews they got.  I had a lot of fun with them back in the day, though.

I wish I hadn't gotten rid of my Saturn

Dragon Force was really amazing, but its sequel, it sucked.
One game worth hunting: Shining the Holy Ark, a RPG set in
the "Climax universe" (Shining Force anyone?), one of the best
looking Saturn 3d RPG, all things considered. It's the closest Shining
RPG you'll find to the original (Shining in the Darkness), truly an underrated gem!!

Camelot and Rare have a lot in common. around the same time Rare was making the best games out there,Camelot was making stellar RPG's for Saturn. But both sold out and went to opposing companies[that's right after Shining Force III,Camelot started making junk for Nintendo 64 like Mario Tennis and Mario Golf and Rare as we all know went to Microsoft and killed Banjo Kazooie]

I brought that up because my favorite Saturn games were made by either Camelot or SEGA just as the best N64 games are made by either Nintendo or Rare.

Anyway games of worth for Saturn

NiGHTS into Dreams
Astal [VGC was dead on]
Shining the Holy Ark
Magic Knight Rayearth
Daytona USA
Panzer Dragoon
Virtua Fighter 2
Sega Rally
Last Bronx
Clockwork Knight [VGC was NOT dead on with this one]
Bomberman
Doom
Rayman [it was better on Jaguar but this was a good port]
Resident Evil
Tomb Raider
Quake [I prefered Quake 64 but hey this one's respectable]
Wipeout
Virtua Cop

It goes on Saturn's folly is not in games but graphics,Gex was better for Saturn than any other platform but I'd rather play Awesome Possum before this junk.R.I.P Saturn
