2009 - The Last Year For PS2?

Postby N64Dude1 » May 11th, 2009, 11:44 pm

Nah I doubt it,there hasn't been a real game for PS2 since Sonic Unleashed and even  then. It's had it's day in the sun and no one buys them much anymore. It's as dead as PlayStation was back in 2003 and by at least half a year it shall have it's last game.

The Ps2 may not be overflowing with new games at the moment, but i think its far from being dead.

Recent new releases have been Guilty Gear Accent Core Plus, King of Fighters 98 Ultimate Match, Samurai Shodown Anthology, Guitar Hero Metallica, and MLB 09: The Show.

Also, you can't forget about Persona 4, which I personally thought was awesome and really got me interested in the series!

I think it's no question that the ps2's best days are behind it, but I think it has enough momentum to last well into 2010. Though I'm not the biggest Sony diehard, I have to admit that it's pretty remarkable that almost 9 years after coming out, it still gets games like Persona 4 and God of War II is only, what, two years old? I have never seen such high quality games come out for a system so long in the tooth!
