Tutankham for the 2600

Postby VideoGameCritic » August 22nd, 2009, 5:13 pm

My review of Tutankham for the Atari 2600 was pretty harsh, but some readers have asked me to take into account the difficulty of the game.  Although the game is technically sloppy, it certainly is challenging.  What do you think?  Is the challenge element enough to merit a grade increase?

It's a choppy feel to the game, but its playable and a nice challenge,
not too difficult, not too easy. Not to mention fun to play.

I'd honestly say, for me. It's in the C or even low B range.

I agree. Tutankham is a little rough around the edges and the controls are a little sloppy, but I like this game, especially the difficulty.  Plus I love the catchy tune it plays.  If I were to make a top 10 of TVGC grades I disagree with, this would on there.

"D-"?  No way. That is an inch away from failing and you can do much, much worse than this game.  C+ would be my grade.
