Hilarious 32X photo

Postby VideoGameCritic » March 21st, 2012, 1:51 pm

I was searching for a decent 32X photo when I stumbled up this hilarious 16-bit set-up.  I was almost crying I thought that picture was so funny.

I did find a really nice 32X picture on google.  I moused over it and where did it come from?  videogamecritic.net!  Google knows me better than I do.

That sort of reminds me of what the TI-99/4A looked like with a bunch of its components connected:

Imagine that on your desk.

This was the first computer I ever truly owned.  I had an awesome time writing programs for it.

It would be even funnier here if the cart expansion slot was included on this.  I once had one cart expansion slot that had another one plugged into it vertically.  Made it look like it had a plastic and metal polyp growing on its face.

That TI-99/4A picture is freaking awesome. You'd need a ten-foot long desk just to hold it all and a monitor, I bet.

That pic of the 32X was priceless. I was laughing my butt off too. Hilarious!!! Mine was never that bad back in the day, but it wasn't that far off either. The monstrosity of units was a perfect example of how Sega was going off the deep end...thanks VGC.

That 32X pic is straight comedy.

Gotta' say though, I thoroughly enjoyed my 32X back in the day: Doom, Star Wars Arcade, Space Harrier, Knuckles Chaotix, Virtua Racing, Virtua Fighter, Kolibri, After Burner Complete, Tempo, Blackthorne...all quality titles!

But really, to me all it seemed like it did was up the Genesis color palette to SNES standards, and allow for some flat shaded polygons to be thrown around like the FX Chip on certain SNES games.

That's hilarious... I am wondering what the two add ons are in the middle of the giant stack. There is the genesis 2, the 32x, then what? (is that the imported model or something?), then the next thing is something that I have no clue about, then 2 sonic and knucles, and a sonic 3..

It really does look like a vacuum until you look closer.. lol
