I always thought that a franchise was like MacDonalds ... now I hear it more and more in games...
They are games not franchises. As soon as you think of them in those terms you must think they will be watered down messes like Mass Effect. Started off as an RPG turned into a third person shooter.

Mass Effect 3 was still pretty good(ending aside), I don't get all those comments about it being "turned into" a shooter.

Dragon's Dogma seems like it has staying power due to it's unique take (recrutiable Pawns) and excellent game play.

Take that back now the Cerebus network is no longer 1200 msp... I bought it and my hard drive went down. So I tried to migrate it to my new 250gig hard drive but came up against EA's single usage policy. It is why I hated ME2 so much.

DR6 it was the 360 version.. bought it the first day it came out... I rather enjoyed the smoking man...
