My remote play setup

As a PS4 and Wii U owner with limited space (I'm currently living with my girlfriend in a small studio apartment), I've decided to leverage the streaming power of these two devices to reduce clutter and streamline my gaming experience. Basically, I have the PS4 and Wii U hooked up in the closet sitting on a shelf. I have a Playstation TV hooked up to my gaming display, which I use to play PS1, Vita, PSP, and PS4 games (remotely). It works beautifully. I set the PS4 to connect to my Vita and PS TV directly rather than via wifi since they're in the same house. So far, this is the only aspect of these systems that really screams "next gen" to me. Anyone else out there tried remote play on PS4? What have been your results?

I have not had success with remote play on my Vita away from home. If I am on the same network as the PS4 it works fine but once I try it on another network I cannot get the remote play to work. Does anyone have a solution?

P.S. lets see a picture of this closet setup sounds interesting.
