I'm thinking about getting Dragon Age: Inquisition, but does anybody know if I can start there or should I play the other two first?

As I mentioned in my thread on the game, Inquisition presents no barriers to entry for those totally new to the series. It's also the best in the series in my opinion. If you love great story and characters, look no further--this game has both in spades.

Cool. I'm debating between that and Shadow of Mordor. Not sure if you're in a position to compare the two, though.

I bought Inquisition having never played the others. It's one of my favorite games so far!

I have Shadow of Mordor and so far haven't fallen in love with it.  There's a bit too much sneaking around involved for my tastes.
