No Man's Sky

Postby DaHeckIzDat » July 21st, 2016, 9:12 pm

I know there's another thread about this somewhere, but I'm too lazy to look...

So, we're less than a month away from the release of Hello Games' huge, colossal, enormous, titanic game, No Man's Sky. Boasting a galaxy with 18 Quintillion (18 billion billion) planets that are actually planet sized, with no real objective except to get to the center of the universe, nobody can say it isn't ambitious. Some people think this will be the ultimate adventure, and will change how video games are made forever. Others think it'll turn into a boring walking simulator after a few planets, and even if they're procedurally generated there's no way they can make 18 quintillion planets not feel repetitive after a while. Obviously nobody can say before the game actually comes out, but we can make predictions. Personally, I'm in the second camp, but I'm really hoping I'll be proved wrong. What about you?
