Battlezone Remake

When Atari went bankrupt, Battlezone was sold off. The folks who bought it have come out with their new version.

Neat, TRON-like look, tho I would've liked a more realistic-looking game set on the moon.

Oh my eyes - part Tron, part Virtual Boy.

Look closely; they snuck the Atari logo into the background. :D

I find it disappointing that they didn't hire Code Mystics so that they would be able to include emulated versions of the arcade and 2600 classics as extras.

I like the looks of it and am glad to see a non VR version finally happening so that I can enjoy it, but at the same time I'm saddened to know that classic Battlezone quite possibly may never leave the vault again in an official capacity under its new ownership.

Thankfully Atari backed off with their fire sale, albeit too late for Battlezone and two or so other minor properties (I think someone actually bought the rights to Basic Programming). I'm not in any real need for further ways to be able to enjoy classic Battlezone, but both the arcade original and the 2600 port deserve to see the light of day semi regularly.
