Game 'soundtracks' are pretty popular, and my brother has an odd habit of playing a game with the soundtrack from a different game via the 360. Like call of duty 2 with Street Fighter 2 music. Really weird experience. The halo soundtracks seems to accompany any game really well though.

In high school I had a friend who would always turn down the TV and play the stereo instead. I hated that because I liked the game music! I also hate when modern games use "real" music instead of original music (i.e. all that Offspring music in Crazy Taxi and similar games).
I wish you could buy video-game soundtracks in the U.S. I've imported a few from Japan, and I've made some of my own from downloads and remixes.
