I played this game once a couple years ago, but quit. Due to peer pressure and everyone's insistence that it's one of the greatest games on PS3, I finally caved in and got it again. And guess what? I have the same problem with it now that I did before, in that it's so freaking childish. I can't fault the gameplay or the graphics (which were done by Studio Ghibli and are amazing), but the characters and the story make it feel like I'm playing a Dora the Explorer game almost. "Lookie here, Ollie boy! Looks like the cat king of Ding Dong Dell has lost all his enthusiasm! We'd better go find it for him!" "Golly Mr. Drippy, what's enthusiasm?"

Technically speaking, the game is amazing. But since story makes up so much of what an RPG is, I don't know if I'll be able to get through it this time either.
