Fighting Vipers (Saturn)

Postby VideoGameCritic » February 10th, 2017, 9:27 pm

Just playing some Fighting Vipers in preparation for my Fighting Vipers 2 review, and man this game is good. The character models look sharp and they are some gorgeous city skyline backdrops.

I especially enjoyed the arcade mode with its 30-second rounds. Had they been much longer I think I might have hurt my wrist. A joystick is highly recommended.

Critic, question related with the Fighting Vipers re-review/the upcoming Fighting Vipers 2 Sega Dreamcast Review?

For the first game, are you reviewing just the US version, or are you covering the far superior Japanese version which has an extra playable character, is uncensored, but also has more fan service content for the games most popular character Honey aka Candy. If you want more info on this situation you can look it up online here: http://segaretro.org/Fighting_Vipers and here: https://tcrf.net/Fighting_Vipers_(Saturn) (Warning NSFW for younger ones on this link!). Also, it would be a good idea for you to track down the Japanese version, as it is affordable, and has more content and have the review cover both versions with the differences mention as it will make the review better. Here is where you can buy the Japanese version of Fighting Vipers 1 on the Sega Saturn here: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R4 ... an&_sop=15 and here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing ... turn+Japan.

Also critic, what do you think of Fighting Vipers 2 for the Sega Dreamcast so far?

Fighting Vipers is fun, though not as technically impressive or as good looking as Virtua Fighter 2 it's more accessible and a good complement title for it. Has very much that arcade pick up and play quality.

Never played Fighting Vipers 2 look forward to the review.
