I was disappointed this doesn't run properly on my Retron 5 (the colors are messed up).
Anyway my friend Chris recommended this after spotting it in the back of one of my old EGM magazines.
Outrun Europa has more in common with Road Rash than Outrun.
You begin on a motorcycle, and there are police, rival bikers, and weapons.
I'm looking forward to checking out the jetski stages, but so far not impressed.

Re: Outrun Europa (Game Gear)
You’d be better off with the Master System version if you’ve got an EverDrive or import.
Pressing up to accelerate is odd though, not great but passable. Not really a true Out Run game as it was licensed out to US Gold to produce a game for the home computer market. It was then ported to Sega’s 8-bit systems.

You could actually put some content here instead of just tossing out a pejorative.
Why do feel it was lamentable?
