So I played this demo last night. And because it had received poor reviews from OXM: Official Xbox Magazine, as well as most other game review mags/sites, I didn't expect much.

Boy, were they wrong!

Granted, the version I played was only the demo and not the full game. But this game looks and plays very solid. I especially like some of the stealth elements like hiding away from enemies and video cameras in dark doorways, under openings in the floor, or even up in the ceiling! I also like the ability to be able to jump out from these places and quickly run behind the enemy and deliver a stealth kill. You can even hide, then press a button to whistle, in order to lure the enemy towards your area.

In the OXM review, the reviewer mentions that the game doesn't give you a whole lot of information as to where to go very often and that sometimes finding the way to the next area requires looking for a hidden switch or a small crawlspace, and I thought... that is a flaw? THAT IS WHAT I LIKE BEST ABOUT THIS GAME! Because for 1. It encourages you to explore the entire map, and 2. When I do finally find the way it actually feels like I achieved something... like I deserved it! Imagine that.

It's not just OXM who got this one wrong. But I must say I am a little surprised since I usually agree with the majority of their reviews. I understand that that they reviewed this game after the 2 Bionic Commando Rearmed games, and Shadow Complex. But I still believe this game deserves a better score than 5 out of 10 on OXM, and 51/100 on Metacritic.

Anyway, I would recommend checking this one out.

I played the demo of this as well and was pretty impressed. I was surprised by the low Metacritic score too. From what I played, it seemed like a unique and meaty game. Anyone played the full version?
