Yes it does, I thought the Saw series was bad, but PA takes the cake, Saw at least had somewhat interesting traps, even if everything else was pretty dumb, the PA series just has terrible acting and painfully predictable scares.

I'm not a fan of the Blair Witch Project at all. However to truly understand it's impact you had to be there when it came out. The internet wasn't like it is now. Information wasn't readily available. People really thought what they were seeing was real. For some folks it wasn't until they saw the filmmakers on TV (at award shows and giving interviews) that they realized they were still alive! There really hasn't been anything like it in horror since the original Paranormal Activiy (which is also not very good). However, with PA people knew it was fake, but the allure was that it was this super cheap film that was supposed to scare the crap out of you. It was a sub par film with this ground swell of crowd hype that escalated it to major success.

The reason Saw, Paranormal Activity, Insidious etc...all keep pumping out endless sequels is that they cost almost nothing to make and they always churn out a decent ROI. It's also why they're the blueprint for most horror films now. Make em cheap, with lots of loud noises and watch the cash roll in!

I know, I remember what the internet was like in the late 90s, but even back then I knew all that Blair Witch stuff was fake.

Unfortunately there's still the trend of found-footage films, most of which are awful(I find Blair Witch to be massively overrated, didn't scare me one bit, it just made me incredibly nauseous and gave me a headache with that irritating "shaky-cam" directing style that I don't like), I am so sick of the Paranormal Activity series and wish it would die.No horror film(or TV show/video game for that matter) has ever truly scared me, I truly don't get why people were so terrified of crap like Conjuring and INsidious, I found them both laughably bad.

Could you please stop the endless slamming of what other people like?

You despise this, fortunately this trend has died, unfortunately there is still this other trend, most of that is awful, this was massively overrated, that wasn't scary, that made me nauseous, that gave me a headache, that was irritating, that I don't like, I am so sick of that, I wish that would die, No horror film has ever scared me, no horror tv has ever scared me, no horror video game has ever scared me, I don't get what others were terrified of this, that was crap, that other thing was laughingly bad.

That was 18 'piss on what you like' statements in that one single post! You just pissed on every horror movie or tv show, ever. Would you like it if someone did that to your posts and threads? If you don't like horror, there are lots of other active threads, or make an Action Movie Lovers thread and tell us what you do like. If you did that, would you like it if someone did this kind of post on what you like?

Your whole post was one long yellow stream of piss on everyone else's parade.

I'm not "slamming" anything, i'm merely stating my opinion, I wasn't aware that was against the rules. I'm sorry if you can't accept people having different opinions then your own.

Besides, i've seen you say plenty of negative things on other threads on here, so I don't see why it's somehow not OK for me to do the same thing.

No I have not "pissed on every TV show and horror film", so please stop exaggerating, I do in fact like horror films and i've mentioned that, or did you miss that part of my post?

You're totally missing the point if you really believe i'm trying to rain on anyone's parade.

Yes. You slammed everything or did you miss that part of your post?

Yes, you are pissing on this parade. Can you not see 18 negatives is just a long volley of being sour?

Being sour and negative was the entire point of your post. Or did you miss that?

Its not againgst the rules to differ in opinion. It is just rude to just go around blustering all about how crappy everybody else's opinion is.

If anyone has trouble accepting and whats more, giving respect and value, to anothers opinion its you. I am wrong all the time. Atarifever just corrected me on the Wii. Good for him. Have you ever done that?

You picked your handle well, so you must realize and relish being vexing. You are a gadfly.

I never said everyone else's opinion was "crappy" at all, don't know where on earth you got that from.

I don't think you know what the hell you're talking about.

Speaking of rules, how about profanity?

Nobody really considers the word hell to be profanity though(except for moral guardians), so that's not really against the rules.

We can take our difference of opinions to PM if you like, so the thread can continue about other horrible things.
