Saw a drone over my house the other day. Took a picture of it with my phone. Lol. Double whammy. Belonged to a kid down the street. FYI: those things as officially considered "aircraft" and must be registered.

Dave: yep, my work PC blocks the site, so it's been probably 4 years or more since I accessed the site from a device other than my phone. (I don't have a tablet).

Why the heck should someone have to register a drone? Sure, it flies, but paramotors help people fly, and I don't believe those are registered. I'm fine with anyone that has a drone as long as it isn't hovering over my property, in which case, as said, it will be shot out of the sky.

Random fun fact of the day: Dutch police are training eagles to take down drones. Apparently there's video footage of this.

You know, amazon is starting to deliver packages with drones here soon from what I heard.

I hope they aren't planning on making that the standard delivery method. I wouldn't trust a drone to carry something to my door, especially if I paid a bunch of money for it.

It won't be standard. It will be a special 30 minute delivery option. I can see this being a terrible idea, as I guarantee you people will be shooting them down. Rednecks will think of it like skeet shooting, with PRIZES! Yee-haw!
