It is easily the worst reboot ever made. It makes the infamous Bomberman: Act Zero look good by comparison! It has bad plot holes all over the place, stupid bad humor that was written by an Social justice warrior! The special effects are Terrible. The movie feel like a bad Social justice warrior fan fiction gone wrong with the Ghostbusters name attached to it. The movie is a huge insult to the beloved Ghostbusters franchise, and a huge miserable pile of secrets that should burn in Hell! I got the misfortune of watching of watching this terrible movie thanks to my parents renting the Blu-Ray for free from Redbox via a email coupon, but even they where just as disgusted with the movie as I was.

No wonder James Rolfe aka The Angry Nintendo Nerd did not want to watch this piece of Garbage, because it sucks big time.

If you want to know how bad this movie is, here is a review done by Angry Joe show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCP937VRfI4 along with a spoiler discusion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4m6F9g9Mu64 (language warning!)

I actually thought it was Ok. My expectations were low but me and the wife enjoyed it, a decent popcorn movie.

I think it got loads of hate because it wasn't the Ghostbusters everyone wanted it to be.

Watch it yourselves and see what you think but it's far from one of the worst movies ever.

I liked it as well... I get while people don't want to support the film but it is far from a terrible film. I've seen much worse and I got a few good laughs from the film. Actually... most of my friends and family liked the film too.

Could you explain a little more about why you thought the movie was bad? Don't just link us to someone else's content. Tell us in your own words. If you were looking for an ironclad plot, great special effects, and smart humor--why did you choose to see a Ghostbusters movie? They've always been fun, silly movies that didn't take themselves too seriously.

Rebooting Ghostbusters was a stupid idea, but there's really no reason to be angry or to care about it at all, certainly not this long after the movie's release.

What you should be angry about is Fall Out Boy's terrible version of the theme song.

Personally, I don't care that the main cast was all female. What I do care about is being told that anyone who thought the trailer looked stupid (which I did) was a sexist, misogynistic pig. That's why I refuse to watch it, at least until it becomes free on Netflix or something.

My girls mentioned this movie as we watched the originals together. I think having a female cast appealed to them which is great. So I saw a poster for the film and noticed that none of the ladies were hot. I'm not saying they all needed to be attractive, but at least one out of four is necessary. I need some eye candy. So we haven't watched it.

I think them casting average-looking women is consistent with the men cast in the original movie, although I personally think Kristen Wiig can be pretty cute. I do like that they cast a hunky guy (Chris Hemsworth) as a sort of counterpoint to the original movies having Sigourney Weaver.

I'd be willing to check the new movie out if a friend or family member wanted to watch it, but I don't care enough otherwise. I adored The Real Ghostbusters cartoon as a child, but I've only seen the first half-hour of the original movie (which I want to go back to) and didn't think much of the sequel (although I was probably only eight when I saw it). Around the time the remakewas coming out I seen a couple of different commentators taking about how the franchise was now tarnished; is one good movie with an inferior sequel and two good seasons of a cartoon that were later spun off into a bunch of garbage much of a legacy to ruin in the first place? I understood why James Rolfe had to speak on the matter (evidently his fanbase was asking him to comment on it) and he was respectful in his response, but the whole thing seems like it's been blown out of proportion.

I know it is a Ghostbuster film, but even in its standards it was terrable. And I could have wrote an over 9000 word easy on more details on why it was bad. But it will be way to long for people, as I do get critism for long post, and said a few things about the movie with a detaild review link for people that want to learn more about the atrocious film that has became infamous among the Ghostbusters fanbase.

Who wants to watch a feminist soapbox when Melissa and Leslie had one on Twitter? Because what happened on Twitter is any indication of why this reboot was made in the first place.
