100 years ago, that Solophone was cutting edge technology - and backwards compatible in a way, able to play both lateral and the older vertical groove recordings that were used on recording cylinders going back to Edison.

Watched Elf with the wife and mother-in-law last night. We were in stitches. My favorite holiday movie!
