There's movies that are for kids and movies for adults, but what about kids movies that adults can enjoy?
Here's some of my nominations.
Toy Story (duh)
Shrek
The Polar Express
Ice Age (the first one)
The Incredibles
Holes

Re: Kids movies that can be enjoyed by adults
Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Miracle on 34th Street
The Grinch Whole Stole Christmas (the cartoon)
A Charlie Brown Christmas
Its the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
The Wizard of Oz
Hocus Pocus
The Looney Tune shorts might fit in here. Characters like Bugs Bunny are entertaining to kids and adults, sometimes for different reasons.
The Three Stooges shorts might fit in here as well. Slapstick for the kids, but adults love it too.
and we can debate if the major part of the Disney library is for kids, or always built for the whole family in mind. I'm thinking especially of the live action films of the 1960s and 1970s like That Darn Cat, Hot Lead and Cold Feet, The Parent Trap, and Herbie the Love Bug
And some kids books have found large adult readerships, such as Treasure Island, Alice in Wonderland, and The Hobbit.

Re: Kids movies that can be enjoyed by adults
While Walt was alive they officially aimed for the whole family. After he died I'm not sure what they were trying to do. Arguably most "kid" flicks are also aiming for families, so it's ok to list them.
On Disney movie I enjoy is Blackbeard's Ghost. It's rarely mentioned, so I'll just throw it in here.
More kid movies:
Star Wars - They were aiming for a PG rating, which at the time was for teens, but that was only to attract older kids. Lucas once said he made it cause there was nothing on TV for kids to watch except cop shows.
The Brave Little Toaster - Kinda a predecessor to Toy Story.

You guys thought of the ones I had, Wizard of Oz and Star Wars, being at the top of the list.
How about Princess Bride?
It's such an awesome movie you'd think it was made for adults.
Or how about Ferris Beuhler's Day Off. That one may be more teen focused but everyone should love it.

The Muppet Movie, and other Jim Henson films. (Tho the Dark Crystal is kinda, well, dark; it wasn't meant as a kids flick.)

Many of those Pixar movies made me cry, they are really wonderful, for kids and parents:
Toy Story 1,2,3
Up!
Inside Out
I also agree on the Muppets movie, fun for every age.
Around Christmas also Home Alone 1 and 2 are enjoyable (skip the horrible 3-5).
