It appears that Submarine Commander was released and sold only through Sears, according to Atari Age. Stellar Track and Steeplechase were also Sears-exclusive titles.

Nice!  I have this game too, but have never played it either.

Sounds like all three of the Sears games are pretty good.  I know Critic that you thought Stellar Track was horrible because of the clunky interface, but I think that's part of the appeal to it.  It's a piece of history.  Like opening a time capsule from another era.  You're right in that it does replicate a old mainframe game.  But how many of those old mainframes are still up and running today?  Yet here we still have it easily accessible on our beloved Atari's to enjoy.  For me, that's part of the charm....

Good reviews.  Aquaventure sounds nice.  It seems like every 80's game company made an underwater treasure-hunting game, but none are regarded as classics.  They sound like good ideas; I wonder why no one remembers them?

Submarine Commander, I played for first time a year or two ago...

I NEVER heard of this game! and I heard or at least 'seen' them all.

Nice reviews, Sub is a nice game...
