I am happy to see Rygar on the Lynx is a faithful arcade port. The original is great, it's on Tecmo Classic Arcade (Xbox). Have you tried it on the NES? It's not a true port, but it adds an adventure/exploration element which wasn't too bad.

Nice reviews.  Rygar is one of only two Lynx games I ever enjoyed (the other being Klax).

Slime world looks like that typical 80/90s impossible arcade adventure.  I might give it a go and see how it plays on emulation.

Nice reviews as always, I don't own a Lynx so these are always pretty interesting. Good to see Rygar as a stand out game.

That was like, the only bad review of Todd's Adventures in Slime World I've seen ever. Most Lynx owners love the game, and I count myself between them. The pulsating world is very nice to look at, the health system is very original (cleaning yourself of alien slime in pools of water? Genius!), and it was a Metroid-like game before most Metroid games even existed. Let's not forget about the six different gameplay modes (one life, without weapons, having to pick up mushrooms to keep the planet from exploding, etc), the auto-map feature, and what is most amazing, an 8-bit multiplayer game in a portable system from 1990! I could go on and on about why I love it but if someone is interested read my Gamefaqs review of it. I know the game is not flawless, but a -F is very harsh, and I think you left out most of the complex details of the game out of the review, dismissing it as just a bad game.

DamonPlus covered everything. It's clear from your review that you didn't understand Slime World's gameplay mechanics, and may have been biased against it from the start.

There's also a video that shows 8 Lynx units linked up to play Slimeworld

Oh no, not again! First Warbirds and now Todd's Adventures in Slime World. I agree with most of the critics reviews, even Need for Speed: The Run and Golden Axe: Beast Rider but this rating seems unfair.
