Both games were pretty fun for me, one advantage of emulation for these games is you get more precise aiming with the mouse.

I'd also recommend trying out Battle Clash, Bazooka Blitzkrieg, Operation Thunderbolt, Tin Star and X-Zone.

I didn't even know Yoshi's Safari existed so I was pretty interested with the review, who would have guessed it was a FPS... Still, I imagine Yoshi's head would get in the way at times. The other game looked far more interesting. I thought these were solid reviews. Thanks.

I enjoyed these Super Scope game reviews.  Even though I was aware of both, I was pretty unfamiliar with Yoshi's Safari.  Length and difficulty level aren't necessarily huge factors to me as long as the game is fun, so I'll probably keep an eye out for it.

So the game is too easy...but the code that was given at the end is "expert mode"...

So is the game a challenge under expert mode?

I remember thinking Metal Combat looked really cool when it first came out. I never played it, but thought it looked like a one-on-one fighter with a light gun. Sorta like Street Fighter II with a canon. I think if the Super Scope had stuck around a little longer I would've eventually got one. As it was I never heard about the Super Scope again after Metal Combat.

I had my Super Scope pretty much since the day it was released, and when I found out there was gonna be a game with Mario and Yoshi I jumped at it right away. I don't think the game deserves such a low score, because the second "quest" is considerably more challenging and the hackneyed story changes slightly. It's also notable as the first game with Princess "PEACH".

Metal Combat also has a second quest, but it's with a totally new machine that can store up to 8 or 9 energy charges and you can fire them all off at once. It's a totally different game as well and the story is nearly completely different. That ending also changes depending on how you defeat the final character.  I think that alone deserves maybe a slight bump on the grade.
