Nice! I've been looking forward to that Galaxy Force II review for ages. Scaling sprite games like the arcade versions of Galaxy Force II and Thunder Blade are so aesthetically pleasing, even beautiful in a way. Somehow they look both real and beautifully stylized. I don't get the same feeling from polygonal games.

Good reviews, the Saturn was an awesome console (if you were Japanese). I put these two games on my wanted list.
It's a shame Sega of America and Sega of Europe decided we didn't want 2D games and all those great games got left in Japan.

Glad to see you doing some more Japanese reviews for the Saturn. Proof that if you want the most of this console, you have to look in the other side of the Pacific. And yes - Saturn can handle 2D arcade games LIKE A BOSS!

Good reviews both of these games look pretty good (especially chase HQ). I'll definitely be adding these to my import list for the Saturn. Thanks!

There are some other nice options for these as well.
Galaxy Force II has an even better conversion on the PS2 in Japan and on the 3DS eShop in North America. For one example, it's 60 FPS compared to 30 on the Saturn (among a host of additional enhancements). And I hear that it's also one of the best uses of 3D on the 3DS.
And the two Chase HQ games are available in the Taito Memories lineup for the Playstation 2. Taito Memories II Gekan includes Chase HQ, while Taito Memories II Joukan includes S.C.I. Both also include quite a few other games that sadly didn't appear in the Taito Legends lineup in the West.
