These are fun. This is not a console I've ever played, or may ever play, but I am enjoying these. It seems like this was really a console focused on ports of the arcades. Shame there doesn't seem to be any programmer information. I like the short concise reviews on these.

Any way to do your own screenshots? The 'gamesdbase.com' is a bit distracting.

Jump Bug - Has Herbie fallen into a life of crime? Actually another arcade port, although not a game I've ever played. Seems like the static faces were a good way around having just 4 sprites (Herbie and 3 bags of coin?). Is the collision detection poor because if any of the sprite square hits any of the face square its a collision, instead of only registering non-background pixels? Is that common in the Arcadia, as they could be re-using the same routine.

Pleiades - Compare this to your review a decade ago of the Atari 2600 version. http://videogamecritic.com/2600pq.htm?e=35106#rev317 You hated the name then too (never had a telescope as a kid?). This really seems to be a port of Pleiades, not Phoenix, so that would make it a shameless clone of Pleiades, especially that galactic obstacle course. Electronic burrito? Vive mas.

Pleiades isn't a clone of Phoenix, but rather is a sequel.

The arcade original is on Tecmo Classic Arcade on the original Xbox. Judging by his review of that compilation, the Critic doesn't seem to have been too fond of that version, either.

"Spiders" is also a port of an arcade game. This system has some obscure ports that might make it somewhat worthwhile for collectors.

What's going on with the hi-res images of the moon in those Arcadia screenshots? A watermark, I suppose?

Biggest difference between the Arcadia version of Jump Bug and the arcade is the screens are static on the Arcadia, it is a side scroller in the arcade version. Jump Bug is quite an underrated arcade game - but the buzz got rebuilt around it with John's Arcade restore series on one he acquired and completely restored.
