This is a really good download-only game.
I don't review many of these!

This really does look like Geometry Wars. Something new on the Wii U... Will you be reviewing Pokken Tournament?

This is a pretty unusual selection for a review, especially considering this is the first I've even heard of it. What made you pick this specific downloadable game?

How's the difficulty? Looks extremely easy and boring as a result in what I've watched on YouTube.

If it does put up a challenge, I'd like to give it a go.

In the review I watched, it mentions that you have a health bar, but only ONE life. That's interesting.

I was contacted by the author and got into a conversation with him.

Definitely not too easy.

When you are right VGC... you are right. I bought this game after watching the interesting trailer (which features a cat pawing at a toy Star Ghost ship) and your recommendation. This game feels like an Atari 7800 Homebrew mixed with super clean graphics and great, albeit subtle, voice acting. I have never been a huge fan of games like Flappy Bird, Asteroids or Gravitar, where you feel like you are controlling an eminent crash as long as you can, but this game balances the counter-intuitive controls nicely and I never felt frustrated... mainly because you are constantly juggling and trying to maintain awesome power ups. The game is not too easy, but the game is fun and devoid of stress because its somewhat forgiving. When you die, you hit the replay button without thinking, because YOU MUST WIN. I think another great touch is how each level like World 1.2, eg, is similar in difficulty but different each time you play it, so you it keeps it fresh as you try to reach deeper into the game.

If you like Scramble, Flappy Bird, Sirius, this game is for you.

ANOTHER good shooter in the Wii U eshop universe is Nano Assault Zero... where you are controlling a microscopic shooter saving cells from... well... whatever the hell is trying to kill them... germs... I guess. Each game lasts 4 boards with a possible bonus board and then it ends after the boss battle. You compete globally for points. The controls are similar to Robotron and the camera is similar to Tower Toppler/ Super Monkey Ball: where the world spins around the ship which remains in the center of the screen. Good stuff for 7 bucks.

Critic, was your Wii U connected online, or did you use someone else Wii U console instead for the review?

I recently took my Wii U online, mainly for the purpose of reviewing Splattoon, something I need to do.
