Here's another scary game I've added to the Halloween special.
Comments?

Nice review.

Even as a fan, I'd have to admit that the backtracking does detract. I'd personally up it by a letter grade or so though.

Sadly, this likely will have to be it for this franchise for your reviews. From here on out, you'd be limited to importing PAL versions, modding, or buying digitally for the remaining entries in the series. Hoping to see Nintendo at least put Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water on sale soon for Halloween on the Wii U eShop, which is the most recent release.

Been loath to pay $50 for a download and have given up hope for a belated retail release after holding off for a year now. Europe has it on sale and I guess North American sales will be announced tomorrow, so maybe this one will be included. An equivalent sale price would drop it to $35, which is still well out of my comfort zone for a download.

Very timely review, perfectly seasonally appropriate. Interestingly enough, just the day after you published this review someone else put out a review/reminiscence about the previous entry in the series, Fatal Frame II. A great read for anyone who enjoys this type of game:
