Critic, about your Fist of the North Star review, here are some fun facts related with the game/franchise in video games.

There has been many video games released between the NES one up till the Xbox 360 ones, but only in Japan, the only one that made it way outside of Japan was the Game Boy game and that was it.: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_F ... ideo_games

And speaking of the franchise, two Sega titles, Black Belt for the Sega Master System: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Belt_(video_game), and Last Battle: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Last_Battle_(video_game) where both Fist of the North Star games in Japan, but the western versions made edits/changes/censorship for obvious reasons. Because your Last Battle screenshot is from the Japanese Fist of the North Star version, and not the Last Battle version.

When I was young I played Fist of the North Star a ton on both the NES and the Gameboy. The Gameboy game was a Japanese game, (best friend growing up was Japanese, so I got exposed to quite a few awesome Japanese games.) and was a blast. It was a 1v1 fighter on the gameboy, but there were training/leveling up modes and you could pick characters to play through the "story" mode, so it had replay value.

As for the NES one, I remember it being really really tough. The enemy onslaughts would wear you down a lot by the time you got to the boss, but it was still a great game back then. I would love to get an NES and get some of these games I used to play a lot over 20 years ago.

"I once wrote down a list of the things I loved more than anything else in the whole world, and ninjas came in at #5. Granted, I was only 39 when I put that list together."

You need to check out the more recent Fist of the North Star games for 360/PS3. They're pretty ridiculous brawlers. The combat is a bit slower/clunkier than I was expecting, but the fun factor is pretty high. It has crates that reveal fully cooked turkeys that restore your life...that alone is worth a full letter grade!

Wrecking Crew is an amazing game and a lot of fun. It's hard. I mean really hard. You have to have patience and actually study the levels. You will fail over and over again, but I loved the challenge. I would give it a "B". If you could save your designed levels or progress I'd give it an "A".

I believe the Japanese version of Wrecking Crew players save levels they created to a tape.

I own an import copy of a game called Wrecking Crew 98, it's the original NES game as well as a new puzzle game variant. The modernized Wrecking Crew game might actually have been a lot of fun to play, had the games against CPU played not taken an absolute eternity to finish.
