Wow. What a pleasant surprise in your upbeat high praise review of EA's Titanfall 2. The first installment seemed like the epitome of what you dislike in modern gaming, but this one sounds very like you had an amazingly good time offline in the single person campaign. More than a good time, like 'one of the best games of the year' good time.
You say the controls are tight, which is amazing in itself. Considering all the things a pilot can do, plus the several types of Titans. I would think it would be a control nightmare, but sounds like EA really did well here.
The "Time toggling" sounds really fun. Like the name of that too, 'time toggling'. Behold, the Time Toggler!
Really glad you enjoyed it.

I have played both and although tf1 did not have a one player game as such. It did have a horde mode which was very good. I have played both and give the first one an a plus. It never crashed once on me in all the time it played on my superior xbone.. lol.
I am glad to hear that the new one has a great one player game. That is the icing on the cake. I only got to play the MP that was inferior to 1.
GW3. I looked at it and I think that the ship has sailed on that series for me.

I have, and just completed, this game for Xbox One and didn't experience any crashes. I agree it is one of the better games this year. I really enjoyed the time travel level, the 'house building' level and the titan battle levels but found some of the wall running very difficult and frustrating at times. I also sampled the multiplayer but as usual got destroyed too quick to enjoy it and thus probably won't go back to multiplayer. That's not a fault of the game though.

I bet if you just took your PS4 online and downloaded the latest patch for Titanfall 2, it'd rectify your crash problems
