Pirates curse is considered by many the best in the series. It's also the most fast paced since you don't have animal transformations but instead pirate equipment which works well with the flow of the game. However, I heard there will be dlc that allows you to play a more similar game to the pirates curse in half genie hero which sounds really cool.

I am amazed that VGC and the folks that enjoy this page gave this horrific game such high marks. This game is probably the only game I have ever rated a F-. I have never dis-liked a game this much. Waste of money and time.

Well with such an amazing and well thought out review like yours I've changed my mind and I now hate Shantae. I guess I wasn't having fun listening to the great soundtrack, whipping enemies and solving puzzles. I'll go back to playing other video games that aren't a waste of time and money. Thanks for the enlightenment!

I haven't played it, but having looked at some screenshots I'm a little surprised you didn't give it the hottie icon, lol

That's fine, but it would be helpful if you explain why you don't like the game and gave some idea of what games you like. This is one reason I don't read Amazon reviews (for entertainment, anyway).

I got a Steam code for Shantae and the Pirate's Curse as part of a bundle I purchased and I already have the game for the Wii U. I realize that this forum is biased towards the console side of gaming, but if anyone wants me to gift them the game then please send me a private message - first come, first serve.
