I'm thinking about reviewing the Game Gear system soon (finally).
I actually have some fondness for Stimpy's Invention for the Genesis (you gave it an F in a 2005 review), but that's probably more due to the nostalgia of playing it at a friend's house as a kid. I haven't tried any of the other R&S games.
I own Shaven Yak in my collection but never played it, though I'd really like to try it after reading your review. Unfortunately-despite owning 3 Game Gear systems-none of them work! The screens on them were always a little messed up and hard to see, but then I had them in storage the past 5 or so years. Now that I pulled them out this past year, I get nothing but a white screen when I turn each of them on. I'm assuming that maybe the hot or cold while in storage killed them. Did some research and it seems that Game Gears are very prone to failure, most commonly from the capacitors going bad. I bought a recap kit to see if that will fix my issue, but the parts in the system are very small and I'm not looking forward to the project. If you do review the Game Gear system, definitely note the frequent problems with the screens that inevitably occur over time. I've never seen one with a perfect working screen.
