Here's another SG-1000 review for ya.

Sounds like you were really enjoying it, but there is not enough game in the game. A D still seems harsh.

I don't own an SG-1000, but one thing I would suggest is an auto-fire. That way, in ship mode, you don't have to keep tapping that fire button. If you don't have one, they run about $10 plus shipping. I think it might be worth a gamble to try one on the SG-1000 too.

This game looks an awful lot like Transbot.

I think Transbot was a sequel to the game in Japan, but not quite sure...
