Bummer. Have you checked out River City Ransom: Underground on PS4? I've only seen a few pics, but that looks more up your alley.

I agree with this review. I was pumped for this game but felt let down. They've released two more since this one. One where you're a knight and one that is allegedly a remake of ransom and if I understand correctly has a time limit. I played the knight one, it's underwhelming as well.

Never played this one, but I think the original NES game is overrated as well. I mean, it looks and sounds great, but I always had a hard time to figure out where to go/what upgrade to get. The game was more confusing than fun for me.
